Fundraising Allows for Construction of Local Hospice House
Land donated by the City leads to creation of new Hospice House and palliative care beds, all within an eight month turn around.

The City owned a piece of property just right up from the new hospital…So we donated this property to a group of five individuals in [Community X]who in five months raised $600,000 and within 8 months after that was a constructed hospice administration building. So that’s the Hospice House. With that we were then able to get an administrator which was Minister Lake at the time to finally put four palliative care beds at the end of [Lodge X] with a walking track that goes down to there. So that’s the type of community input that’s going on.
