Healthy Relationships Between Physicians, Local Municipality, and Health Authority Result in Support for Community Hospital
Overview:
[Regarding relationship with the health authority] And that’s on part of the physicians group, but directly with the Health Authority, obviously we [municipality] maintain liaison vis-à-vis the Healthy Community Committee [the $500,000 group], but also…and then there’s the relationship between the administrators, locally and regionally and myself and the mayor and myself and the leaders of municipalities of Fraser Health will meet with the Fraser Health board quarterly, periodically. [They meet every 3 months] and on an issue basis and they all get together and discuss things. And then there are foundations, like we do have a foundation here that raises money locally for the hospital. I mean, there are all kinds of relationships going on and I think if you talk to **Catherine Wiebe, the local manager there at the hospital, the facility’s manager, they’ll, they should reflect that they feel well supported. It’s an important quality of life, [an important] institution in this community is that little hospital.
