Helping Hands Program Makes Seniors Lives a Little Easier
Overview:
Volunteers help seniors complete day-to-day tasks using local funding within the community.
The other initiative that we have this year that just started, we got some different funding through Community Basin Trust. We juggle a lot of grants to try and get things done and its called the Helping Hands program so twice a year we have volunteers that are vetted that go into seniors who sign up and do some yard work. Maybe, we have people flipping mattresses, stuff that doesnt require contractual stuff but stuff that make is little easier for people.
