Regional Mayors Meet Quarterly to Discuss Health Issues in Their Area
Overview:
Mayors from this area are taking a ‘regional perspective’ to their health care needs. Coming together every 4-6 weeks, this Health Society brings together voices and perspectives from all their municipal communities.
Trying to take the approach of [recognizing that] yes it’s services [are] to the direct community but also to the region because [others] do use the services here too [so they are taking a] regional perspective. Mayors from the region meet on a regular basis every 4-6 weeks and have structured the health society in such a way that they have representation from each of the communities so they all have a voice at the table.”
