Seabird College Provides Training in Many Medical Related Fields
Overview:
Post Secondary education in fields such as Licensed Practical Nursing, Dental Assistants etc. leads to great local and Indigenous work opportunities.
Seabird [has] really developed their services. They’ve got a college there, so they’re training MOAs (Medical Office Assistants) and unit clerks, care aides, and LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses)…And dental assistants on a rotational basis. For our care homes and extended care facilities in Agassiz, they’re providing a lot of the staff trained locally from aboriginal communities. So that’s huge.
