Volunteer and Community Support Drives Successful Hospice and Local Auxiliary
Overview:
The overlapping volunteer pool proves essential for program support in Ashcroft, leading to exceptional Hospice and Auxiliary groups.
There’s a few programs in the community that are very supportive and strong. Our hospice group is incredible. The auxiliary is very, very supportive. Those are two main groups. [Each group supports] different components – they come from different – just from a funding support and more of a clinical – not a clinical, hospice is – but just that support. They’ll come in here to – there’s volunteers for Red Cross, I see volunteers that are overlapping, so this – and then they also have an advocacy group here in town, too, which is advocating for improved health care in Ashcroft…They advocate through the media and through our town council and through the Interior Health authority.
